Happy new year….Back on the fitness wagon!

I would like to start by wishing you a very happy new year and I hope that you had a fantastic Christmas break!

It’s that time again to get back on it, start eating healthily and exercising more. I did overindulge a bit over Christmas and did less exercise than normal but I know that once I get back to my normal routine any excess weight/inches will soon vanish!!

Don’t beat yourself up if you have put weight on as that wont help with getting rid of it, accept the fact and give yourself small goals to work towards not huge unachievable goals that will see you failing within the first few days!

If you find it difficult to cut something out of your life permanently as I do then don’t, instead just reduce the amount for example if you love coffee and have 5/6 cups a day then start to cut down by one cup a day for one week then 2 cups the following week till you have it down to 1/2 cups a day. Same with wine, chocolate etc. Eating well doesn’t have to mean going without, it just means limiting the unhealthy stuff and eating loads of the good stuff such as vegetables,  fish, eggs. meat and water!!

Experiment with cooking using coconut oil and herbs and spices, trying to cut down on pre packaged sauces. Eat good healthy home made food and use a slow cooker which means you can chuck everything in before you leave for work and then dinner is ready as soon as you get in leaving no time for snacking!

There is no excuse as its inexpensive and easy. I make a soup every week and chuck any leftover veggies in from the weekend and it serves me for lunch for a week.

Stock up on healthy food so you’re not tempted by the bad stuff and prepare ahead.

Let me know how you get on!
