HAPPY NEW YEAR TO YOU!
January 2014 has kicked off well and truly with classes rammed and everyone coming back to exercise much sooner than usual. In my experience late January into February was the busiest time for people to return after the Christmas break but for some reason this year it has happened much sooner which is great as far as I am concerned!
I don’t know about you but I had 2 weeks off over Christmas which is unlike me but I thoroughly enjoyed it and actually benefitted from the change and the rest, giving my body a chance to recuperate fully so that when I returned I was well ready for it and felt great! Recovery time is just as important as exercise if not more than especially as you get older. I have noticed I need more recovery and relaxation time than I did 10/20 years ago which suits me fine. I am much more aware of my body and its little niggles and aches that come with age and as I want to stay in the fitness industry for quite a few years to come I have to look after myself and my body as its the only one I have!
A first for me……Skiing!!!
I have my first skiing trip booked for February and I am beyond excited! Also very nervous as I am new to it and want to be good at it but who knows?! My fitness level is good, balance and flexibility good but I am still scared that I might be rubbish at it! If any experienced skiers out there want to chuck some advice my way then please do!
All bootcamps and classes were up and running from last week and there is availabililty in some classes and all bootcamps so check out my timetable page to see what suits you and where possible I will give you a free trial to try before you buy. I teach lots of different disciplines including spinning, pilates, salsacise and more, all of which are very different from each other so there should be something to suit everyone. The bootcamps are outside in all weathers so we have been getting rather soggy lately and can’t wait for the spring to turn up. It is a lovely location and quite private too which we like and I like to keep the groups fairly small so its very friendly and personal.
That’s all for now and enjoy the rest of your January, hopefully with less rain?!
