Absolute Beginners Club

If you are a beginner and need help getting started with an exercise program and some simple nutrition then here are my 6 top tips……

  1. Start small – Begin with short manageable workouts to build consistency and make you feel like you have achieved something!
  2. Realistic expectations – Don’t expect too much too soon, this is a way of life not a short term fix!
  3. Choose something you enjoy doing otherwise it won’t be sustainable from walking to dancing to playing tennis to Pilates to lifting weights, the list is endless! 
  4. Schedule your workouts like you would an important appointment and stick to it otherwise once you start cancelling or postponing it will never happen!
  5. Cook from scratch – you don’t have to be a good cook to eat healthily, find simple healthy recipes online and off you go!
  6. Support from those around you is very important so try to get the family involved with regular exercise and healthy eating!
